Therapeutic Yoga for Pain and Mental Health
4 Week Course
Saturdays 3rd - 24th May
11:45 AM- 12:45 PM
Pain and stress can create patterns of tension in the body and mind that may feel difficult to shift. This four-week series is designed to support those experiencing physical discomfort or mental stress through gentle, therapeutic yoga. Each session focuses on mindful movement, breath awareness, and relaxation techniques as tools to support healing and well-being. By combining simple movement, breath, and awareness, this course helps retrain the nervous system—reducing habitual tension, shifting pain responses, and creating new pathways for ease.
Course Overview:
Week 1: Back Care - Gentle postures and alignment techniques to ease tension and support spinal health.
Week 2: Shoulder & Neck - Targeted movements to release tightness and improve posture and mobility.
Week 3: Meditation & Mindful Movement - Cultivating awareness and inner stillness to calm the mind and form compassionate connection to the body.
Week 4: Pranayama for Healing - Exploring breath-work techniques that can help regulate the nervous system and shift habitual patterns of stress and pain, supporting mental resilience.
This course is suitable for all levels, including those with limited mobility.
While each person’s experience is unique, movement, breath, and awareness can play a role in shifting how the body responds to discomfort. Yoga for pain management is not about pushing through discomfort - it’s about listening to the body, working with its natural rhythms, and creating space for healing, and this series offers a supportive space to explore these practices in a way that works for you.
